The Poznań Aeroclub, the Municipal Office in Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center and Aeroport company invite you to a special Children’s Day at the airport in Kąkolewo on Saturday, June, 3 2023. Many attractions will be waiting for the youngest aviation enthusiasts.
Games and activities with numerous prizes, as well as face painting, colourful braids and soap bubbles – all this awaits the participants of Saturday’s event. There will be bouncy castles and, of course, flying aeroplanes, gliders and drones!
In addition, brigades from the Voluntary Fire Brigade in Kąkolewo will be preparing firefighting attractions for kids. The Orlen Aerobatic Group Żelazny, the National Bank of Poland and reconstruction groups will present the booths.
For an additional fee, visitors will take a glider or a plane flight. A refreshment area will also be waiting on site.
The fun will start at 1 p.m. and lasts until 5 p.m. Come and join us!

World’s First Multi-QPU, Multi-GPU, Multi-CPU Quantum Use Case Demonstration

In a groundbreaking project, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) in Poland has worked with NVIDIA and ORCA Computing to demonstrate the world's first hybrid computing architecture at PSNC involving a multi-user HPC environment supporting multiple quantum processing units (QPUs), alongside multi-GPU and multi-CPU job execution. PSNC researchers have also trained a hybrid classical-quantum machine learning algorithm within this environment. This work is a first step toward demonstrating the importance of integrating QPUs into hybrid classical-quantum supercomputing environments.

On 29 October 2024, Warsaw hosted the Congress of Effective Communication, organized by the Polish Language Foundation. During the expert panel Jarosław Liberek, PhD (Adam Mickiewicz University) and Tomasz Hoffman, PhD (Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center) presented "Proste pismo" (Simple Writing) – a universal tool for simplifying complex written texts, which had been created as a result of cooperation between the Poznań City Hall, Adam Mickiewicz University and Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center.
