Planet-On Quantum & AI Hackathon for Greener Future

On 23 and 24 November 2024 participants of a 24-hour-long „Planet-On Quantum & AI Hackathon for Greener Future” faced the challenges of stopping the climate changes. The event was organised by PSNC Future Labs, Lawyers Association of Wielkopolska and AQT. The Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management was the patron of the competition.

For two days participants of the hackathon brainstormed ideas on how to promote green spaces in cities, use quantum computers to save energy, and improve forest management.

The jury of the competition featured: Łukasz Strzeżyński (Lawyers Association of Wielkopolska), prof. Bogdan H. Chojnicki (University of Life Sciences in Poznań), Agnieszka Lewandowska (Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Poznań), Jarosław Bator (Oborniki Forestry District) and dr hab. inż. Krzysztof Kurowski and Konrad Wojciechowski (PSNC). They awarded three teams of participants:
