PSNC Experts at the Data Spaces Symposium 2025

On 11-12 March Warsaw is hosting one of the most important events dedicated to the future of the data-driven economy, namely the Data Spaces Symposium 2025. Experts from across Europe will meet there to discuss key aspects of data sharing and its impact on innovation, artificial intelligence, and the development of connected economies. Representatives of the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center are going to provide participants with insights into how data spaces influence the future of certain economic sectors such as agriculture.

The Data Spaces Symposium is an event organized within the framework of the Data Spaces Business Alliance (DSBA) – an initiative that accelerates business transformation in data-driven economies. DSBA focuses on building interoperable, sovereign, and trustworthy data spaces, enabling secure resource sharing between enterprises and institutions. This is a crucial step towards the effective use of data potential at the European and global levels.

PSNC has been involved in the development of data spaces for years now, and thus the Center has participated in numerous international initiatives concerning that topic. During the Data Spaces Symposium 2025, PSNC representatives are going to present the results of their work within projects such as: AgrifoodTEF, Datamite, SUSPOT, AD4GD, Iliad Digital Twins of the Ocean, DSI5/DS4CH, BlueBird.

Marcin Płóciennik, Head of the PSNC Internet of Things Technology Department, will lead the session: “Towards the Development of Agricultural Data Spaces”. During this presentation, participants will learn how data can support smart farming management and improve production processes. He will also have two other presentations: “Digital Frameworks Supporting Data Monetization for Agricultural Data Spaces Based on the DATAMITE Project” and “Data Spaces in Practice for Agriculture 4.0” (as a part of the session “How Data Spaces Drive Intelligent Industrial Solutions”). Raul Palma, Head of the PSNC Data Analytics and Semantics Department, will participate in the panel titled “From Regulation to Innovation in Agricultural Data Sharing”. In his presentation he will also discuss the effects of PSNC’s cooperation with the small and medium-sized enterprises’ ecosystem within the AgrifoodTEF project, which aims to support digital innovation in agriculture.
