Heritage Fair “Protecting Heritage for Future Generations”

Heritage Fair “Protecting Heritage for Future Generations”

Promoting and protecting cultural heritage, history, and traditions are the goals of the Heritage Fair in Wrocław (20 and 21 March 2025). Tomasz Parkoła and Krzysztof Abramowski from the Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department of PSNC are among the participants of this event.

The motto of the fair is “Protecting Heritage for Future Generations” and the concept of this event is based on creating a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience, promoting local communities, their traditions, and heritage.

Since 2002, PCSS has been creating specialized software packages that support various processes of digitizing cultural, artistic, and national heritage collections. Specialists from the Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department shared their knowledge and experience in this area during the Fairs.

  • Tomasz Parkoła (Head of Network Services Department at PSNC) is going to participate in the “Scientific Research on Cultural Heritage” panel on the first day, presenting “Cultural Heritage, Digital Humanities and Modern Technologies – Towards an Ecosystem of Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Innovation.”
  • Krzysztof Abramowski will introduce the Interdisciplinary Research Platform in his presentation “Digital Humanities in Modern Technologies” on the second day, during the “Digital Technologies in the Protection and Dissemination of Cultural Heritage” panel.
