A Polish limited company nazwa.pl gave away their annual awards to companies and institutions with a significant influence on the digital transformation of the Polish State. The Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center was awarded in the category “Investment Expert”, which was a reflexion of PSNC’s success with the Center’s very own Proxima supercomputer – recognized as one of the fastest machines in the world according to the current prestigious TOP500 list.
Other winners this year included: niebezpiecznik.pl website in the category “Education Expert”, Microsoft Poland in the category “Innovation Expert” and two institutions awarded alongside PSNC in the category “Investments Expert”, namely ACK Cyfronet for Helios GPU supercomputer and WCSS for Lem. The two machines also appear on the already mentioned list of the fastest supercomputers in the world, which was published in November of 2024.
PSNC’s Proxima was launched as a part of the PRACE-LAB2 project concerning the European cooperation for enhancement of advanced computing. The manager of the project is dr inż. Norbert Meyer, while the very process of launching Proxima was supervised by Radosław Januszewski, who is the manager of the New HPC Architectures Department of the Poznań Center.

GN5-2 Project Presentation at FOSDEM 2025

EmpowerHer is the name of an innovative program designed for breast cancer survivors, who are encouraged to participate in it during their recovery. Its primary goal is to promote physical activity and social support, so it provides various tools and strategies that are very useful in improving the quality of EmpowerHer participants’ lives. Part of the program is a user-friendly mobile app, which gives women access to personalized exercise routines tailored to their individual needs and abilities.
