DARIAH-HUB Poland Presentation at the Time Machine Synergy Summit 2024

On 19 November 2024 École Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne hosted the Time Machine Synergy Summit 2024. Time Machine Organisation, which is responsible for this event, focuses its interest and activities on projects concerning technology, science and, most importantly, cultural heritage. PSNC’s Tomasz Parkoła – Head of Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department was representing our Center at this year’s Summit with his presentation on DARIAH-HUB Poland project.

DARIAH-HUB Poland focuses on the development of Polish intelligent digital research infrastructure dedicated for humanities and art-related sciences. One of the project’s assumptions is creation of the national ecosystem enabling interdisciplinary research concerning archeology and Polish cultural heritage. When DARIAH-HUB Poland is finished, its infrastructure is going to be used further in cooperation with economic partners of both national and international scientific research and deployment projects.

The project is realized by experienced specialists from the DARIAH-PL Consortium. They are experts in pursuing investments concerning research infrastructure. The Consortium is composed of the following leading digital humanities scientific institutions:

The project’s worth is 71 835 475,87 PLN – 57 637 042,87 PLN of which is a subsidy from the National Reconstruction Plan (in Polish KPO).

DARIAH-HUB Poland aka DARIAH KPO was launched on 1 April 2024, and it is to be completed by 31 December 2025.
