DIAG project meeting

DIAG project meeting

The DIAG – Digital Imaging Accuracy Guidelines project team organised a meeting with its partners at the National Digital Archive in Warsaw. The meeting was attended by project partners, including representatives of libraries, archives, museums and galleries from all over Poland, including Gdansk, Kraków, Torun, Warsaw and Poznan.

The meeting discussed the types of specimens brought to the meeting by the institutions cooperating in the project. The idea behind the meeting was to get to know each other, to examine and analyse as many different specimens as possible, and to develop a common vision for the further development of the DIAG project.

After the meeting, participants had the opportunity to visit the National Digital Archive (Narodowe Archiwum Cyfrowe) and see the equipment and methods used to digitise both images and sound. PSNC also presented the details of their work.

The aim of the DIAG project is to create a unified template and guidelines for the technical parameters and methods of digitisation in Poland and later in Europe.
