PSNC hosts EOSC EU Node meeting

Between 11 and 13 March PCSS hosted all partners involved in building the European EOSC node at a working meeting summarizing the activities carried out so far as part of the EOSC EU Node. Together with the European Commission, topics were discussed to prepare an action plan that will enable the implementation of 13 new national nodes within the framework of a single European EOSC federation in 2025.

GN5-2 Project: nmaas Meeting at PSNC

Representatives of NRENs from Macedonia, Moldova, France, Greece, Croatia and PSNC – collectively known as the nmaas team got together to discuss further development of the GN5-2 project. The meeting took place at CBPIO (PSNC headquarters in Poznań) on 20 and 21 February 2025. The topics discussed included: software development, implementation of new functionalities, analysis of current and potential new cases of system use and expanding the nmaas service for GÉANT community users.

3D Technology for Cultural Heritage

Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Trento hosted a meeting concerning two cultural heritage projects: 3DBigDataSpace (aggregation, processing and enhancement of 3D objects) and 3D-4CH (creation of a 3D competence center). Both of these EU funded projects were launched on 1 February 2025.

Between 17 and 21 February, the Italian city of Trento is hosting project meetings concerning 3DBigDataSpace and 3D-4CH. The official partner of both projects, which are directly connected with presenting cultural heritage in 3D, is the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center.

NATO DIANA Defence & Security Days 2025

The city of Kraków hosted the NATO DIANA Defense and Security Days. The event took place on 5 and 6 February and was supported by both the Polish Innovation Department of the Ministry of National Defense and the Kraków NATO DIANA Accelerator. It brought together experts involved in the development and acceleration of dual-use technology, end-users from the defense sector, entrepreneurs developing the latest technologies and investors.

On 22 January 2025 the GRAPHIA project was kicked off in Brussels. This international meeting lasted for two days and gathered researchers and specialists who are interested in SSH data. Among them were Aleksandra Nowak and Tomasz Parkoła, both representing the Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department of PSNC.

AgrifoodTEF at AGRO-PREMIERY International Agricultural Fair in Poznań

The AGRO-PREMIERY International Agricultural Fair is the biggest agricultural event in Poland and it kicks off in Poznań on 23 January 2025. For two days the event is going to focus mainly on AGRICULTURE 5.0. Participants of the fair will have a chance to witness a presentation of the agrifoodTEF project, which is realized with heavy participation from PSNC.

LUMEN – Operating Freely Across a Variety of Scientific Fields

Its full name is Linked User-driven Multidisciplinary Exploration Network, but you can simply call it LUMEN. Despite this friendly and simple moniker, LUMEN is actually a pioneering phenomenon which is very likely to turn cross-domain collaboration around and make a research journey across various scientific fields, like Mathematics, Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH), Earth System sciences, and Molecular Dynamics a joyride! The Mind Challenge Program Inauguration

On 16 January 2024 representatives of four universities from Poznań along with PSNC signed a letter of intent to implement an interdisciplinary cooperation program called Mind Challenge. The project will involve the Adam Mickiewicz University, the Medical University, the Poznań University of Technology, the Poznań University of Economics and Business, PSNC and some business partners.
