The Poznań Aeroclub, the Municipal Office in Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center and Aeroport company invite you to a special Children’s Day at the airport in Kąkolewo on Saturday, June, 3 2023. Many attractions will be waiting for the youngest aviation enthusiasts.

On June 6, 2023, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center will host a workshop for teachers entitled: “Accessible school buildings, accessible education, accessible teacher – universal design or learning”. The event organised by the Board of Education is related to the results of the international SUCCESS project.

From May 29 to June 4 2023, the exhibition “700 Steps about Tomorrow”, prepared in cooperation with the Art & Science PSNC Future Labs, will be open at the ZAMEK Cultural Centre in Poznań. The interactive exhibition is presented during the Children’s Art Biennale organised in partnership with the Children’s Art Centre.

On the weekend of May, 27-28 2023, the QL Future hackathon organised in collaboration between PSNC Future Labs and IBM took place in Poznań. Hackathon participants had the opportunity to work with a quantum computer for the first time in Poland. Teams were tasked with proposing an innovative idea or technological solution within 24 hours in the areas of human, planet and climate.

This year’s PSNC exhibition stand, accompanying the ISC 2023 conference, is dedicated to the use of data infrastructure and HPC (High Performance Computing) to build IT services and support projects from the Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructures, such as: National Data Storage (NDS), PRACE-LAB and PRACE-LAB2, financed from the structural funds of the Smart Growth Operational Programme under Measure 4.2 (building research infrastructure for science). The slogan of the booth is ‘PSNC – your partner in innovation’, intended to emphasise the important role that PSNC plays in European projects.

On 24 May 2023, the Smart City Poznań – CEE Congress & Metropolitan IT Summit will be held at the Congress Center at the Poznań International Fair. The congress is a platform for exchanging experiences, good practices and a place to seek innovative solutions for cities. During the event, panel discussions will be held with the participation of PSNC representatives.

ISC High Performance is one of the largest high-performance computing events in the world. This year, more than 3,000 attendees and 130 exhibitors have come to Hamburg for the five-day conference (21-25 May 2023). Among them is the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

The “Women In Tech Summit” is an international event addressed to women starting or already pursuing their career path in IT and TECH.The Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center will actively participate in this highly popular event.

The Impact Conference is one of the most important economic and business events in Central and Eastern Europe. Organized on May 10 and 11, 2023 in Poznań, the event brought together representatives of business, science, politics and technology. During this year’s edition, representatives of PSNC were also present and numerous guests visited our exhibition booth.

Lithuania’s Vilnius University intends to join the IBM Quantum Innovation Center at PSNC, as the institutions declare plans for cooperation in the field of quantum technologies, identifying new areas of R&D work and mutual development of competences in this area. The Letter of Intent starting the cooperation has been signed on May 10, during the Impact’23 in Poznan.

On May 27 and 28, 2023, PSNC Future Labs will host the first quantum hackathon in Poland – QL Future, organized in cooperation with IBM and the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. The purpose of the event is to jointly develop innovative ideas and solutions for the well-being of our climate, planet and people.

On April 17, 1993, the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center was established by the resolution of the College of Rectors of the City of Poznan. A few more months later, the written declarations turn into reality – in November of the same year, the PSNC will be affiliated with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and officially begin its activities.
