Adam Mickiewicz University joins the IBM Quantum Innovation Center at PSNC

In February 2022, the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC), affiliated with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, became the first institution in Central Europe to join the IBM Quantum Network. Now, by signing a membership agreement with PSNC, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan is joining the IBM Quantum Innovation Center at PSNC.

CLAW Meeting: welcome back to Poznan

After two years, the Crisis Management Workshop (CLAW) – crisis management event for the GÉANT community – returned to the stationary form at the headquaters of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. For two days (November 29-30), participants of the meeting discussed, but also took part in practical activities to jointly solve a crisis in the fictional academic network GuilREN.

The 7th edition of the European Laryngological Live Surgery Broadcast

On November 23, 2022, the 7th edition of the European Laryngological Live Surgery Broadcast will be held at the Polish Optical Internet Research Center, the headquarters of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. The session is organized by the European Laryngological Society, the Department of Otolaryngology at Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, and the Health and Social Issues Department of Poznan City Hall.

Final gala of the competition “Superheroes in the fight against the pandemic”

On November 21, 2022 at the headquarters of the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region, a gala was held, summarizing the art contest “Superheroes in the fight against the pandemic” organized for elementary school under the REGIONAL COVID-HUB project. The organizers of the contest were the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

Broadcast from Hematology Day 2022

On November 15, 2022, the Institute of Human Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan will host the second edition of the Hematology Day, organized within the framework of the European NEXT_LEVEL project. This year’s event will be devoted to CAR-T in the treatment of hematological cancers. PSNC will conduct a live broadcast from the conference.

Final gala of the ‘AI4Youth Artificial Intelligence’ competition

On November 3, 2022, the final gala ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology to summarize the ‘AI4Youth Artificial Intelligence’ competition, aimed at students of public secondary schools and vocational technical schools participating in the ‘AI4Youth’ pilot project. The programme is a unique educational journey, covering 4 stages and allowing young people to gain knowledge and practical skills to create their own project using Artificial Intelligence.
