In May 2013, during the FIA conference in Dublin, the unusual concert took place. The event was co‑organized, among others, by PSNC within the VISIONAIR project. Musicians in places distributed across the Europe were playing together and the outcome of their efforts could be heard and seen live on the stand in Dublin and in the 4K room in PSNC.

On 19 April PSNC took part in the demonstration of technology in area of e-Health and novel visualisation. Presentation was dedicated primarily for medical students and focused on innovative methods of medical training and diagnosis with stereoscopic high-resolution visualisation and network transmission. Researchers at Cardiff and Bristol Universities, with help of team from PSNC have shown capabilities of simulation visualisation, streaming and displaying of ultra-high definition (UHD) content.

On 16-17 April 2013, the fourth edition of the Conference “i3 internet – infrastructure – innovations” will be held in Poznan. Proposals may be submitted up to 27 March.

On January 18, 2013 the trial videoconference was held between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and MAN ( Metropolitan Academic Networks) centers in Gdansk, Gliwice, Poznan, Krakow, Wroclaw, Warsaw and Lodz.

The IEEE International Conference and Workshops on Cloud Computing Technology and Science (3-6 December), steered by the Cloud Computing Association, aim to bring together researchers who work on cloud computing and related technologies.

During the INFO2012 fairs and conference held in Zagreb on 15-17 November 2012 the first presentation of the 4K 3D technology in Croatia was demonstrated. It was prepared by the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center in cooperation with the CARNet – Croatian Academic and Research Network.

This year, the world’s largest meeting of HPC environments, networking, storage and analysis, was held in Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference, taking place from 10th to 16th November, was accompanied, as every year, by the exhibition (12-15.11.2012), during which PSNC together with the PIONIER Consortium for the seventh time presented the Polish achievements in the field of ICT.

Conference4me supports another large conference – IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium and Medical Imaging Conferenc (October 29 – November 3, 2012, Anaheim, California.

The IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks (Clearwater, Florida, USA 22-25 October 2012 ) is one of the networking industry’s oldest, continuously running conferences. The LCN Focuses on practical, leading-edge applications and research in the area of computer networks. It has an informal, workshop-style atmosphere, offering significant opportunity for speakers, panelists, and attendees to spend time together.

During the SURFnet’s Relatiedagen conference, held in Noordwijkerhout (Netherlands) on 3 October 2012, with cooperation of PSNC a specialized robot remote control demonstration was carried out with 4K and HD 3D video streaming at a distance of 1.800 km with speed of 40 Gbit/s.

24th IAEA Fusion Energy Conference (FEC 2012) is supported by – conference mobile assistant – Conference4me. This year, conference will take place in San Diego, USA 8-13 October 2012. The scientific scope of FEC 2012 is intended to reflect the priorities of this new era in fusion energy research.

The second edition of the “CineGrid Day – the future with 4K” conference was held on 5th September 2012 in Amsterdam. It was organized by the Waag Society in cooperation with the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center as a technology partner. The conference was devoted to the development and use of 4K technology in various fields of science, art, entertainment and industry. Invited guests represented filmmakers, producers, distributors, scientists, research institutions and companies involved in development of 4K technology.
