This year’s edition of the “Cyfrowe spotkania z zabytkami 4″ conference was organised with subtitle “Cultural Heritage on the Web: Access and Exchange of Information.”. The conference brought together representatives of various institutions including libraries, museums, archives, humanists and computer science specialists.

Security Team of Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center presented th effects of their work at an international IT security Confidence 2.0 conference, which was held in Prague on 29-30 November.

The second edition of i3 Conference: Internet – Infrastructures – Innovations held in Wroclaw is behind us. Although the window there was a truly arctic weather in the halls of sessions the atmosphere was hot.

On 10th December 2010 will take place 13th scientific session of the “Double voice of Science” devoted to the sacred memory of Professor Gerard Labuda. The ceremony is hosted by the President of the Poznan’s Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences – Professor Jan Węglarz.

During this year’s i3 Conference the Board of the PIONIER Consortium honored the efforts of the officials in the creation of Wroclaw City URBANCARD.

It is widely known that artists can find inspiration everywhere, even in places where ordinary people can not find it. It turns out that the latest technology can also be the inspiration. The relationship of art and technology will be discussed during the Warsaw Electronic Festival Conference (WEFCON) on 3rd and 4th December 2010. One of the workshops will be conducted by Marek Zawadzki from the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center.

“E-Science as the key to development” is the topic of the second edition of i3 Conference: Internet – Infrastructures – Innovations, which started in Wroclaw. Within three days (1-3 December) over 90 presentations will be presented. The conference is organized by the PIONIER Consortium, PSNC, WCSS and Wroclaw University of Technology.

There are only hours separate us from the start of the second edition of the i3 Conference: Internet – infrastructure – innovation 2010. The meeting will be held from 1-3 December in Wroclaw.

Scientists, scientific and research units staff, as well as universities staff and students will be able to participate in a free workshop on archiving in six Polish cities by the end of December.

Next Monday 22 November another StartUp-IT seminar will be held. This time participants will learn how to sell and implement ideas through the spin-off companies.

This year the joint stand of Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center and PIONIER Consortium attracts attention due to the high media wall on which Polish scientists show the effects of joint ventures in their projects. The projections present movies in HD technology via a specially designated networks under the HPDMnet initiative.
