Representatives of 14 organizations involved in the Heriforge project visited the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center on 14 and 15 January 2025. The goal of the project is to provide a research environment for culture, art and national heritage using the technology of extended reality (XR).
The event brought together specialists from over a dozen institutions from Poland, Cyprus and Turkey. It was an opportunity to continue the discussions initiated online during the initiation of the project in December 2024. Participants determined the tools, communication strategies and key priorities for Heriforge’s initial year. The meeting at the PCSS headquarters was a pivotal moment for fostering collaboration, sharing ideas, and planning activities within the various working groups.
In addition to the meeting, PSNC’s guests enjoyed a guided tour of the Center’s laboratories and had a chance to discover the rich history of Poznań.

A brand new TOP500 list revealing the fastest supercomputers in the world was released during this year’s Supercomputing in Atlanta (17–22.11.2024). CLAW Meeting: Is the Queen Going to Abdicate?

That was the most important question of this year’s Crisis Management Workshop (CLAW) organized annually for the GÉANT community, which after several editions was moved from Poznań to Barcelona. For two days (3 and 4 December 2024) the participants took part in practical exercises to resolve a crisis in a fictional European country called Guilder. The multimedia materials used during the workshops were prepared by the usual PSNC team.
