The aim of AerospaceLab is to develop PSNC’s competences and service/product potential in the field of IT systems applications for UAV, UGV & Robotics and to increase the level of safety in the air and on the ground. The R&D work focuses on the automation and autonomy of cyber-physical systems using next-generation computer networks, sensors, cloud and edge systems, and 5G networks operated by PSNC and our scientific-industrial partners.
The new AerospaceLab laboratories at the Kąkolewo EPPG airport will enable the establishment of further R&D partnerships with leading institutions involved in the development of unmanned aviation in Poland, Europe and around the world.
The airport in Kąkolewo has belonged to the Aeroclub Poznań since 2017 and, together with the Aviation Training Centre at Poznań University of Technology, is used to support flight training. It is located in the municipality of Grodzisk Wielkopolski, 58 km from the center of Poznań.
