5G-PL
National Laboratory for Advanced 5G Research

The aim of the project is to build a research infrastructure unique on a national scale for conducting practical research on 5G technologies and services. The importance of this project for the country is particularly far-reaching, which results from the fact that in the near future we should expect widespread implementations of 5G solutions in domestic operator networks, which in consequence will result in a significant development of services available via the Internet. The research infrastructure will consist of three laboratories:
5G network laboratory – built on the basis of 5G technology manufacturers’ solutions, includes a fully functional 5G core network implemented as a nationwide distributed system connected by a backbone network and various access network solutions (wireless and wired access networks, edge cloud computing).
Laboratory of 5G simulators and measuring equipment – containing 5G technology simulators and measuring equipment to enable the conduct of various research related to the development and maintenance of the 5G network or related applications and services.
5G environment laboratory containing devices and software for the development of new network solutions, platforms and applications based on 5G technology, such as, for example, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, industrial systems (Industry 4.0) or autonomous and controlled vehicles.
