AgrifoodTEF is a network of test and validation infrastructures in Europe that supports Agri-Food technology companies to do near product development of their AI and Robotics solutions in real-world facilities. The consortium of partners is composed of some of the major European players in the field of digital innovation applied to the agrifood industry. AgrifoodTEF had its official launch on January 1st 2023 and will run until December 2027.
AgrifoodTEF provides a wide range of services across all of Europe through its nodes. The services cover sectors, such as arable farming, horticulture, tree crops, viticulture, greenhouse, livestock farming and food processing. Each service can be customised based on the customer’s need to maximise the impact and ensure an efficient product validation procedure.
Technology suppliers can test and validate advanced AI-based software and hardware solutions, such as AI-powered robotics, in real-world settings with the aid of Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs), which are expansive physical and virtual infrastructures. They include end users in defining effective testing scenarios, protocols, and metrics for certain application sectors, along with offering technical help for integration, testing, and demonstration.
