GN5-2 is the next iteration of the flagship National Research and Education Networks’ (NRENs) collaboration projects under the auspices of the Framework Partnership Agreement (FPA) with the European Commission during the work programme Horizon Europe GEANT 5.
Project implements the delivery and development of the research and education networking, capitalizing on the dark fibre infrastructures built during the previous efforts like projects GN4-3N, GN5-1, and EaPConnect. Project aims at the excellence in delivery of the network services, as well as Trust & Identity framework, security, and monitoring frameworks.
Project also encompasses the development of these areas through the contributions of the consortium partners in order to provide a better value proposition to the research and education community meeting the requirements of contemporary processes. Project contributes to the excellence of European scientific research, as well as trusted and secure environment for the researchers and research data.
