PSNC and the PIONIER Consortium return to Supercomputing 22

After a two-year break caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Supercomputing – the world’s largest conference bringing together the international HPC community, has returned to its traditional, stationary form. Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center together with the PIONIER Consortium (14-17.11.2022) will present the most relevant projects and activities durung the SC22 exhibition hosted in Dallas, Texas.

This year, the booth #827 presentations are focused around such topics as quantum technologies and communications (Open QKD, PIONIER Q), innovative network services (PIONIER LAB, PL 5G), HPC, Cloud and Data (PRACE-LAB, PRACE-LAB2) or the National Data Storag project.

Two demonstrations have also been prepared. The first is related to the use of quantum key distribution technology to secure the network traffic; the integration of quantum key distribution technology with encrypted MACsec protocol traffic was presented. Network devices used generated and transmitted QKD keys to encrypt network traffic using the MACsec protocol. The second demo was to present the national HPC infrastructure.

A quiz with attractive prizes is also organized at the booth. The questions are related to the activities of PSNC and the PIONIER Consortium. What is more, eight unusal panoramic images of the CBPIO building are displayed in 360°.
