PSNC at the Women in Tech Summit 2024

10,000 participants, 5,000 presentations on 5 stages – these are just some of the impressive figures for this year’s sixth edition of the Perspectives: Women in Tech Summit conference, which will take place on 12-13 June 2024 in Warsaw. As was the case last year, PSNC will present its ongoing projects and initiatives in the exhibition space accompanying the conference, and experts from the PSNC will take part in a panel discussion. The event is organised by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation.

The main mission of the event, which has been organised since 2018, is to empower women in the field of technology and science and to establish Poland as the main European hub for the topic of women in technology. The Summit is also Europe’s largest job fair for women in technology – for those at the beginning of their careers in IT/Tech, for those thinking about rebranding and looking for new paths, and for female students.

Women in Tech is two days of knowledge, inspiration and sharing across five stages, with presentations from female experts and leaders in the Tech & IT industry. The organisers also promise 60 in-depth workshops, 50 tech talks and 500 one-to-one mentoring sessions. The exhibition area will feature nearly 100 exhibition stands from the world’s most innovative companies. Among these will be a stand from the PSNC, which will present the latest developments in ongoing projects and initiatives, such as the QL Future hackathon, which is closely related to quantum technologies, one of the main themes of the event. The PSNC stand will also feature a presentation of the first quantum computer in Poland, ORCA, and will offer the opportunity to talk to experts who will explain its operation in an accessible way.

This year, for the first time, the Science Stage will feature a special Meet Quantum programme, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Affairs and specialists from the Research and Academic Computer Network (NASK), PSNC, AGH University of Science and Technology, IQM Quantum Computers and the University of Warsaw.

On the first day of the event, Wednesday 12 June at 17:35, Rossy Nguyen, Product Director at ORCA Computing, will give her presentation. She will discuss the impact of the UK company’s collaboration with PSNC on ORCA Computing’s PT-1 quantum photonic system installed in Poznan.
