Welcome to the third episode of the PSNC Podcast series, in which we present the FAIR4Fusion project, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. In a conversation with Agata Filipczak, a programmer from PSNC’s Internet of Things Department, we find out what are the main goals of the projects are and why nuclear fusion plays such an important role.
What do donuts have in common with all this, and why should we not associate Tokamak with sushi? You will hear all this in our interview. Nuclear fusion is supposed to be the future of the world’s energy, and a safe way to provide energy for generations to come. And although the world has been working on it for more than 40 years (and Gorbachev already mentioned the idea), it is our generation that has the chance to finalise the project! The warmest place on earth is being built in Europe, and PSNC is also helping to create an artificial sun. How are we doing it and what does it involve? Listen for yourself!
The interview is conducted by Gabriela Jelonek and Marcin Dąbrowski.
