PSNC Seminar: Agnieszka A. Kaczor, PhD, prof. UML – “Molecular modelling in the design of drugs acting on the central nervous system”.

This is the 9th edition of the PSNC Open Seminars series. On the first day of spring, March 21, 2022 at 2:30 p.m., we cordially invite you to a lecture entitled: “Molecular modelling in the design of drugs acting on the central nervous system”, which will be delivered by Agnieszka A. Kaczor, Prof. UML (Medical University of Lublin). The moderator of the event will be dr Norbert Meyer, Director of Data Processing Technologies Division at PSNC.

The meeting will be organized on the Webex platform on March 21, 2022 at 2:30 p.m.

Prof. Agnieszka A. Kaczor

From 2020, Professor UML of the Department of Synthesis and Chemical Technology of Medicinal Substances with Computer Modelling Lab at Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical University in Lublin. Author of nearly 150 scientific publications. Agnieszka Kaczor has contributed to the creation of 13 patents.
Since the beginning of her scientific career, associated with the Medical University in Lublin, she completed internships at Pompeu Fabry University in Barcelona, University of Regensburg in Germany and University of Eastern Finland.
Leader of teams studying such issues as new methods of treatment of schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and depression.
She has been awarded many prizes, including twice the Prize of the Minister of Health for research on new antinociceptive drugs and drugs affecting the central nervous system, the Rector of the Medical University in Lublin award for scientific achievements, the awards of the Polish Chemical Society Member of Polish Societies: Chemical, Biochemical and Medicinal Chemistry.
