ECHOES Cultural Heritage Cloud supports the development of Digital Commons through digital environment. It enables enhancement and analysis of cultural heritage objects. ECHOES itself is also being constantly developed, and the easiest way to find out about all the recent changes and enhancements is to sign up for its brand new newsletter.
ECHOES CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique) along with CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche from Italy) and FSP (Fondation des Sciences du Patrimoine) created a consortium of 51 European partners, including PSNC. Among the partners there are research organizations, networks representing cultural heritage communities (museums, libraries, archives, etc.), universities and private institutions.
As a pioneering project, ECHOES aims at creating infrastructure and a legal entity for cloud services and establishing cooperation with cultural heritage communities, which would benefit from that. ECHOES promotes holistic approach to digital transformation by encouraging people and institutions to co-create and share knowledge.
