“Transforming Culture in the Digital Age” international conference in Estonia

Digital culture and all the opportunities granted to users by new media are leading to reflection on the role and future activities of memory institutions in this extremely interesting times. This cultural transformation were the main topic of “Transforming Culture in the digital age” conference which was held on 14th – 16th of April in Estonian city Tartu.

Organizers manager to gather academics as well as renowned practitioners from all around the World. Conference programme was filled up with more than 50 lectures , presented in three parallel tracks. Sometimes it was really hard to choose where to go because all presentations were very interesting. Thankfully organizers decided to publish full text of all papers as an ebook, it is available http://dspace.utlib.ee/dspace/handle/10062/14768.

During the conference Adam Dudczak for the PSNC DL Team presented a paper “Large-scale aggregation of metadata from distributed digital libraries in Poland”. Paper described basic assumptions, motivations , architecture and achievements of Digital Libraries Federation.

Second Wave of AI Factories Proposals Selected to Drive EU Innovation

A Polish limited company nazwa.pl gave away their annual awards to companies and institutions with a significant influence on the digital transformation of the Polish State. The Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center was awarded in the category “Investment Expert”, which was a reflexion of PSNC’s success with the Center’s very own Proxima supercomputer – recognized as one of the fastest machines in the world according to the current prestigious TOP500 list.
GN5-2 Project Presentation at FOSDEM 2025

8 000 participants and over 1 000 lectures – that is how we can sum up the FOSDEM meeting, which took place in Brussels on February 1st and 2nd. During this annual event for open-source software enthusiasts, its participants could share information about the latest initiatives, projects, technologies and applications. EmpowerHer – a New Project for Women

EmpowerHer is the name of an innovative program designed for breast cancer survivors, who are encouraged to participate in it during their recovery. Its primary goal is to promote physical activity and social support, so it provides various tools and strategies that are very useful in improving the quality of EmpowerHer participants’ lives. Part of the program is a user-friendly mobile app, which gives women access to personalized exercise routines tailored to their individual needs and abilities.

GN5-2 Project: nmaas Meeting at PSNC

3D Technology for Cultural Heritage
