On Saturday, 1 June 2024, the Kąkolewo Airport will host a Children’s Day organised by the Wanda Modlibowska Aeroclub of Poznań and the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center. There will be field games with prizes, a drone exhibition, inflatable playgrounds for every child and numerous stands.
In a picnic atmosphere in the countryside, visitors will have a unique opportunity to see antique weapons presented by re-enactment groups, see fire engines and a drone show, slide and jump on inflatables, take part in games and competitions and win valuable prizes. The Poznan University of Technology invites visitors to visit the OTRK PP – Space Robot Testing Centre.
Aeroklub Poznański will provide access to the iconic An-2 aircraft, commonly known as Antek, and allow visitors to take the controls of a glider. In the PSNC hangar, visitors will fly a glider in a flight simulator and drive a wheeled robot. These and other attractions will be available to participants free of charge.

ISC’24: PSNC systems again in the IO500 ranking

The HPC data storage system at the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center has again been highly ranked in the prestigious IO500 competition held during the ISC High Performance 2024 conference. The system took 8th place in the '10 Node Production List' category, in which it was listed for the first time, and 14th place in the 'Production List' category, in which the PSNC system has been present since 2023.

During this year's ISC High Performance 2024, the largest HPC conference in Europe, which takes place from 13 to 16 May in Hamburg, Germany, the latest TOP500 list of the world's fastest supercomputers was announced. The list includes the fastest computing systems from the PRACE-LAB and PRACE-LAB2 projects. Two of them are systems from the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.
